Currently, there is a considerable amount of survey work being done in the lease areas and the developers are looking to hire scout boats to scout the area AHEAD of the survey vessels. The last thing in the world the developers want is to interrupt fishing operations.
Last summer they experimented with Scout boats and it worked out magnificently well, so they want to expand on it using USCG Inspected Fishing Vessels.
I have been working very closely with a few of the developers along the coast placing Fisheries Liaisons on survey boats, helping find captains and crew, etc. Offshore Wind Jobs for boat owners.
There is a tremendous amount of work coming soon and the developers asked me to put together a network of local “USCG Inspected” fishing vessels who are interested performing Scout Boat Services on a part time basis.
